Vermiculite is an excellent product for horticulture.
It is poured over the seeds to be germinated. Thanks to vermiculite's lamellar structure and absorbency, seeds germinate easily and rootlets don't rot.
Vermiculite is often used to germinate cauliflower seeds, broccoli,
aromatic herbs, etc.
This ensures maximum yield.
Multiplication and conservation of flower bulbs (narcissus, amaryllis and lilies) are also optimal when the bulbs are in vermiculite.
Potting soil manufacturers also use this brilliant additive in their special mixes for seeding and transplanting.
Vermiculite is exfoliated at high temperature. It is therefore sterile and free from disease germs.
The product is inorganic, environmentally friendly and has a low density.
Its PH is neutral or very slightly alkaline. It has a high cation exchange capacity.
According to European regulation No. 2021/1165, vermiculite can be used for organic farming, including products with the AB label.
