Upgraded electronically measuring of liquid distribution under a spray boom Even though all nozzles can individually demonstrate a perfect flow, this doesn’t mean that they do present a good distribution (overlap). With the spray scanner it is possible to determine whether the distribution along the length of the full boom is as expected. If not, it will be necessary to adjust until the right distribution pattern is achieved. The Spray Scanner Plus is a further development of the Spray Scanner which has proven its reliability over the last decades. The Scanner Plus is up to four times faster compared to the standard version thanks to a three times larger working width (2,40 m) and changes of various components. The liquid distribution is the most important parameter that reflects the distribution coverage of a sprayer in the field. With the Scanner Plus, the liquid distribution is precisely measured in a limited time. .The Scanner Plus moves autonomously under spray booms with up to 99 m working width (more is possible upon request). .The Scanner Plus has a horizontal measuring surface of 240 cm x 150 cm (no slope as prescribed in EN and ISO standards). .The torque and rotational speed of the engine are higher than the standard version. .For faster movements, a larger drive wheel has been integrated. .The Scanner Plus can work in both directions, where the regular Spray Scanner only works from left to right. .Two position sensors are mounted in the scanner. When the first sensor detects the contact plate, the Scanner Plus is slowed down. When the second sensor detects the contact plate, the device is stopped.
