Obtain a better understanding of the air flow rate of orchard sprayers.
The wind tunnel is designed to measure the air flow rate of fans on orchard sprayers in an objective way. This measuring tool consists out of 5 meter long pipe with a diameter of 1.5 meter and can be connected to every type of fan.
The air volume will be measured by integrating hot wire probes in a cross section of the pipe. The location of the hot wire probes will be integrated at ¾ of the pipe length (i.e. at 3.75 m from the fan). There are 3 measuring points (every 120°) on each centroidal circle.

.3 times 5 high precision hot-wire sensors are integrated in the tunnel. They have a measuring accuracy of 1% and a maximal air speed of 40 m/s. Upon request the hot-wire anemometers can be ISO17025 certified.
.Complimentary software to visualize, store and export all measured data is provided. Within the software it is possible to do repetitions or measure with different settings as blade angle, rotating speed etc.
