The FLEX mechanical weeder is AGRISEM’s new range of weeding tools. The company specialized in Conservation Agriculture and no till techniques, is expanding its range of tools to offer users mechanical weeding solutions. An exclusive weeder for mechanical weeding The design of this new mechanical weeder is based on a modular frame that can be adapted to different crop spacings. At Agritechnica, a 6m version (12 rows at 50 cm) will be presented, equipped with a sliding interface and a hightech camera-guidance system, enabling the weeder to recognize rows and thus perfectly follow the curves within plots without destroying growing plants. The rather simple design of this weeder gives the user very easy access to the settings of the working parts without tools, and allows rapid configuration changes according to the user’s needs. The manufacturer has opted for a high-clearance parallelogram system, with hydraulically-regulated pressure applied to the elements, benefiting from high lateral rigidity with no looseness thanks to pivots on sealed bearings. In this way, guiding precision is transmitted all the way to the ground.
