The plant is made of a product collection tank, its pumping set and a series of jacketed tube heat exchangers which allow the product to flow in the inner tube and the heating and cooling fluids to pass in the external jacket.
During the heating phase, the jacketed tube heat exchangers are crossed, in the external jacket, by overheated water which transfers heat to the product to heat it; during the cooling phase, the jacketed tube heat exchangers are crossed by the cooling fluid such as water from tower, well, as well as chilly or glycol water.
The plant includes the thermal stop, the product re-cycle set when the sterilization temperature is not reached and the required instrumentation for the automatic control of the whole sterilizer.
Benefits:
•High efficiency in thermal exchange which allows to minimize the time in which the product remains in the plant as well as the product’s thermal degradation.
•Heating and cooling fluids which flow in counter-current with respect to the product by guaranteeing the maximum efficiency in the thermal exchange.
•Possibility to process products containing pieces while safeguarding the physical integrity of the pieces.
•Design choices which make the plant very compact and allow its full assembly before the shipping.
•Possibility to partially operate the plant making it suitable to process reduced quantities of product.
