New to the Ambic teat spray range is an improved version of its well proven, lever operated teat spray gun, which now comes with the added benefit of an extended lance with solid cone nozzle. This new gun has been designed both with ease of use and functionality in mind. It combines the well proven and popular ergonomics of the traditional Ambic lever style gun with the improved teat coverage made possible by Ambic’s solid cone nozzle technology. The alternative hollow cone spray makes it much more difficult for the operator not to miss part of the teat during the teat spraying process, as the pictures below clearly illustrate. Recent research carried out for Ambic by the Silsoe Spray Applications Unit has demonstrated that the new fixed geometry nozzle produces a larger mean droplet size as the following figure illustrates.
