Large semi double violet blue flowers with ring of larger sepals and a boss of central sepals that appear silvery at first , then expands to a starburst with age. Blooms heavily in May and then gain later in the summer. Blooms on old wood in the spring, so only prune dead tips. Will bloom on new growth later in the summer. Grow in sun but shade the roots with ground cover or mulch. Grows 7-8'.
