The RB SPEED is a new generation machine designed by Badalini for pre-emergency mechanical weeding, before sowing, in the context of green agriculture and beyond. Its purpose is to avoid the use of chemical weeding with the aim of obtaining two advantages. Firstly, it eliminates the insults caused by weeding on the soil structure and the future product, Second, to save on costs. The machine uses a metal roller with interchangeable high-strength points to brush the soil by a few centimetres with the superficial aggressiveness needed to eradicate the weed. This roller rotates quickly by means of two cast steel boxes equipped with chain and gears connected to a hexagonal transmission shaft. The adjustment of the working depth and thus the type of aggressiveness on the soil can be decided by the use of the top link but above all by the adjustment of the support roller. Attention: the work of this machine is not to be confused with that of a common tiller or hoe as its work must be superficial, uprooting and not milling.
