Amblyseius andersoni
This predatory mite is (has been) known under different names: Typhlodromus (Amblyseius) potentillae or Amblyseius andersoni. It is a polyphagous mite feeding primarily on harmful mites such as spider mite, gall mite, russet mite. It also feeds on thrips, pollen, honeydew and fungi.
It is very suitable for application in colder conditions, but tolerates higher temperatures. It can survive even in absence of prey.
The predatory mite Amblyseius andersoni offers excellent perspectives for the control of pest mites in ornamental and fruit crops, tree nurseries and protected horticulture.
