The R816 mechanical planting machine plants the block through a plastic film unrolled on the soil.
This machine is ideal for multi-vegetable producers who plant in limited quantities.
Planting is carried out using separated blocks, and supply is provided via a peg belt. An innovating spade mechanism perforates the plastic film without tearing it, to avoid the growth of weeds. Thus a hole of 4 cm x 4 cm makes it possible to receive the block without having to care about resumption.
For this reason, its productivity is lower than with other models (approximately 3000 blocks/hour with 2 operators), though the speed depends largely on the capacity of the operators to position the blocks.
This machine plants blocks with large leaves as well as parsley, cabbage, chard, onion or celery provided they come in 3.5 to 4.5 cm wide cubes.
The frame planting includes 4 wheels adjusted according to the tractor's track. It is controlled by a hydraulic lift to avoid packing the soil and slackening the plastic film.
Planting height is adjusted via rear press wheels, and row spacing is adjusted by changing gears.
This machine comes in versions for 3, 4 or 5 rows. Row spacing is set according to the customer's requirements.
