The pneumatic brisket bar facilitates the positioning of cows in the milking parlour. The cows are kept in a row and fixed during the milking process. After milking is finished, the brisket bar moves away and allows the cows to leave the milking parlour through the exit gate.
Rapid exit has the same function as the brisket bar. Additionally, after moving away from the cows, the breast barrier lifts over their heads allowing them to leave the milking parlours. The cows do not leave the parlour through the exit gate individually but all together. Immediately after the breast barrier returns to its lower position, the entrance gate opens for the next group of cows.
This process can be partly automatic, which contributes to a significant increase in labour productivity.
