The Genap mesh-panel silo is a Kiwa-certified low-budget silo made of hot-dipped galvanized steel mesh panels. This storage system can be erected very quickly and is relatively easy to move. The silo is available in diameters up to 26 metres and volumes up to 1,700 m3. Depending on the use, various types of membrane can be used as a liner. A floating cover is also available.
The walls of this type of tank are built from 3m long hot-dip galvanised elements. The silo is easy to build and is supplied in volumes of 192 to 1695m3.
The tank is ideal for installation on surfaces with low load-bearing capacities; a concrete base is not always necessary. The steel mesh wall is built 0.5 metres below ground level on a simple ring foundation of concrete slabs or tiles.
This tank meets the European construction guidelines for slurry storage and is provided with a system certificate (55381) from the Dutch certification authority KIWA (55381).
Tank liner
This slurry store liner consists of a 1 mm thick Fecatex® PVC film for the bottom and Genatex® 850, reinforced PVC film, for the walls. These types of foil are specifically designed for contact with slurry and organic liquids.
The liner has an edge with an overlap of Genatex® with stainless steel rings. The liner is secured to the tank with a dralon cord. Use of this liner guarantees a slurry-resistant system and prevents contamination of groundwater.
A HDPE layer is laid between the steel wall and the tank liner to protect the liner.
Depending on the surface on which the tank is installed, a protective felt is also laid on the bottom
Tank cover
Genap offers a number of steel mesh tank cover options.
