When building a new greenhouse, Genap can fit an underground basin before the growing floor is installed. This water buffer system can store water at different temperatures and this allows you to cool or heat the greenhouse as required. The basin is sealed off using sandwich panels, on top of which you can place the cultivation.
Water is stored in a variety of ways. Less well-known than the excavated water reservoirs and water silos, but just as effective, are the water reservoirs under the staging in the greenhouse. The space is available and land is expensive so why not make optimum use of the storage capacity in the greenhouse? The principle is simple; the reservoirs have the same length and width as the staging, they are excavated, a waterproof lining is installed and the top is fitted with a tensioned cover so that no materials can fall into the reservoir.
Underground water storage
Another form of space-saving water storage is underground water storage in the shape of
the Klimrekbuffer®. This method is ideal for storing both warm water and irrigation water.
