The MD 22N is a hydro-static mower that offers comfort and great cutting capacity. The 110 cm central deck has a dual cutting function and is equipped with a 'Quick Shift' lever to switch from mulching to rear discharge directly from the driver's seat. It is a mower designed for cutting on slopes, suitable for use in professional and private lawns where a perfect cut is required, such as on sports fields. Its low ground clearance makes it ideal for work under tree cover. The MD 22N is equipped with the Briggs & Stratton Professional 7220 OHV 656 cc two-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 18 HP (22 HP gross power). The cutting deck has 3 blades. The cutting height ranges from 2.5 to 10 cm, the continuous adjustment ("infinite" positions) guarantees a quality cut, the lever control is assisted by a gas spring for maximum comfort. The cutting apparatus is made entirely of steel and is not afraid of impact with stones. The large-diameter blade shafts and the cutting transmission guarantee reliability even in the toughest working conditions for many hours and in absolute safety. The tension of the deck belt is self-adjusting. The entire unit is kept parallel to the ground at all times, improving cutting quality even after years of use! The blades are engaged by means of an electric button located near the steering wheel that activates the PTO's electromagnetic clutch.
