LEOPARD pressure relief hydraulic diaphragm valve. The valve is designed to open automatically if the installation exceed a maximum settled pressure.
Leopard Pressure relief hydraulic valve
Leopard pressure relieve valves are available from DN 20 to DN 300 diameter.
Applications
The relief valve is designed to open in case of exceeding a preset maximum pressure. This valve is installed with outlet to the atmosphere, relieving by opening the overpressure in the pipe.
Functioning
If the upstream pressure exceeds the setting pressure, the piston is moved upwards by communicating the valve chamber and the atmospheric pressure. In this way the valve opens to reduce excess pressure.
Turning the pilot screw clockwise you will increase the opening settled pressure. Turing the pilot anti-clockwise you will reduce the opening settled pressure. Through the pilot the chamber of the valve will drain.
For correct operation of the hydraulic valve and to avoid problems, the following conditions must be taken into account:
•Working pressures: From 2-16 bar.
•Precision Ratio: ± 0.5 bar.
