Mycotoxin binding with MYEX MYEX is a sophisticated formulation including absorbent substances and active substances which are combined in order to avoid or remedy the negative effects of mycotoxins. Due to this formulation MYEX is active at four different levels: YEAST EXTRACTS: Parts of yeast display a specific absorptive property to complex mycotoxins. Stimulation of detoxification processes of the liver: YEAST EXTRACTS: Apart from its excellent properties as a complexing agent, the extracts of yeast act as an alerting substance to the detoxification system of the animal. Due to this alerting effect, the amount of detoxification enzymes in the endoplasmic reticulum of the liver is increased considerably. Support of the animal’s own protection systems (liver protection): VITAMIN E and α-TOCOPHEROLS: During the detoxification process, parts of the toxins are split up and that can create free radicals. By supplying sufficient Vitamin E and α-tocopherols, these free radicals can be trapped, relieving the liver. Improvement of the animal’s immunity: YEAST EXTRACTS and VITAMIN E: In spite of all the protective barriers mentioned above, some of the toxins may pass the barriers and form biomolecular lesions, which consequently may result in depression of the immune system. In order to avoid such effects, yeast extracts and vitamin E enhance the immune response by stimulating the immune response of the key organs.
