Ploughshare points coated in HTite® Heavy Duty tungsten carbide are suitable for heavy use because they are particularly resistant to abrasive wear.
The points body is made of hardened boron steel, and the HTite® Heavy Duty coating is applied to the top and bottom surfaces of the tiller blade. This solution is especially suitable for ploughshares used to work particularly abrasive soil.
The coating enhances the strength and durability of the points, without altering their original geometry. They therefore meet all the technical specifications required by the machine manufacturer, especially the power absorbed during processing. This is particularly important for monitoring and reducing fuel consumption during processing.
The longer service life of points coated in HTite® Heavy Duty increases productivity without compromising the high processing quality, since the tool maintains its original shape for a long time, reducing the frequency of checks and maintenance.
The alloy is deposited on the tiller blades by means of technologically advanced industrial systems, which allow the HTite® Heavy Duty coating to adhere perfectly to the substrate, making the treated part very strong and tough.
The HTite® Heavy Duty coating is extremely compact, with a smooth, crack-free surface, an average matrix hardness of over 600 HV and carbide hardness of up to 2500 HV.
