The new Hürlimann XE range comprises four models, all of which are equipped with highly advanced FARMotion engines. They are available with power outputs from 65 to 97 hp to make even better use of the excellent manoeuvrability already offered by these tractors. The tractors' braking system and trailer braking system are also new; both already comply with the latest safety regulations.
Engine
The FARMotion engine was developed specifically for agricultural applications. The unit powering the XE 80 offers an impressive torque reserve of 43%, while the engine in the XE 100 delivers 97 hp (71 kW) at just 2,000 rpm. They employ a common rail system with pressure of up to 2,000 bar, a turbocharger plus intercooler and wastegate valve, and a viscous-drive fan. They comply with Stage III B in terms of emission reduction exclusively thanks to their use of the DOC catalytic converter. These are the key features that make the FARMotion an extremely technically advanced engine. A 75 litre fuel tank lets these tractors work for long hours on end, while the 8” PowerCore intake air filter (also available with dust ejector) and oversized radiator pack ensure extended service intervals.
Transmission
The superlative efficiency which is typical of a mechanical transmission is available in two variants. The first, with a top speed of 30 Km/h, features a 4 speed gearbox and is available in configurations with 12+3 speeds or 8+8 ECO speeds. The second uses a five-speed transmission with three ranges (15+15 speeds or 15+15 ECO speeds) and achieves a top speed of 40 km/h, even in the engine's eco mode (1,800 rpm).
