This lateral harvester offers many advantages.In this case the tractor goes beside fur-rows and this makes possible to use larger wheels to allow a better explotation of the required power without sinking the furrows or treading the leaves. IMAC potato harve-ster, equipped with discs mounted on springs and a work’s preassure control on the levelling roller (opt) guarantees an excellent furrow’s taking in each condition. Big haulm intake rollers avoid obstruction. The automaic guide (opt) enables tha driver to concentrate himself on digging.The system is placed in the middle of two furrows and it rules the piston in order to obtain a perfect position of the machine with respect to the furrow, even when the tractor makes a detour. The sieving web (80cm) together with large cleaning rollers give to this machine an excellent work’s capacity and avoid damages thanks to low rotation’s speeds. Indipendent agitators and different pitches are also available to adapt the machine to different harvesting conditions. A quadrangular-mesch defoliator web with 5 rows of haulm intake combs removes the large leaves while 2 cleaning hedgehogs, one longitudinal (75cm) and one transversal (82cm) remove smaller leaves and fine ground too. The separation of potatoes, stones and sods is made by a combine work of the transversal web and 2 rows of rubber fingers with a vertical rotation. These fingers have an adjustable speed and height to be suitable to each working condition and to guide the product’s flux to the selection table and the reject belt.
