•Aerodynamic design •Maximum light reduction Equally distributed light inside a livestock house will lead to improved spread of the animals. A regulated light scheme leads to better results inside the house. Dark periods in the building have an essiantial influence on the animals growth results. In order to minimize external light influences and to simulate day and night, ITB has lightfilters for chimneys, inlets and wall fans. The systems have been designed in such a way that resistance is minimal and air flow is optimal. Light filter for ventilation chimney For ventilation chimneys ITB has developed a light filter consisting of multiple inflow rings. The inflow rings ensure an optimal air guidance where resistance is minimal. This type of light trap can be produced for ventilation chimneys with a diameter from 650 upto 920 mm. Underneath the inflowrings a drip tray is placed, which reduces light-feed and catches possible moist from condensation in the chimney. The lightfilter can optionally be made winchable, which makes it easy to clean between the rounds. The light filters are produced completely from plastic (HDPE) and are resistant to aggressive substances in the air.
