Optimal straw distribution and mixing is important for stable yields when mulch sowing. Conventional heavy cultivators and disc harrows do not mix soil and straw enough. The result: piles of straw and strips in which the subsequent seeds have no water connection. Not so with the Vario. The soil and straw are intensively mixed by the 8-row arrangement of the tines and reconsolidated by the double STS roller. Shallow, fine and firm! The seedbed structure is finely crumbly and contains enough fine soil for embedding the following seeds. And all in one crossing!
