User-friendly and durable VAHVA C-series grapples
NEW DESIGN
•The frame has been designed to be bended and symmetric, keeping stresses under better control.
•The cylinder uses both jaws, and the reaction bars stabilise the movement, making the movement of the grapple jaws more balanced and symmetrical.
•The tips of the jaws get into the pile at an optimal angle and grab a full load when they close.
•Wider jaws and jigs on the side plates of the jaws help to align all of the timber in a bundle.
MODERN MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY
•The grapples are manufactured at the Outokumpu Metalli factory in Finland.
•Strong quality: high-strength steel as material, robotic welding, machined peg lines, bronze bearings, powder coating.
•Hardened and ground, dimensionally precise pivot pins with welded locking plates.
•Two reaction links made from high-strength steel have been fitted with welded sleeves with slide bearing.
EASY MAINTENANCE
•Quick and safe greasing in one position while the grapple is closed and lowered to the ground.
•In the C-line, three different sizes of cylinders and seal kits are used, helping with the management of spare parts.
EVEN STRONGER HD-MODELS
The C line also includes two HD (Heavy Duty) models for particularly challenging applications: C36HD and C46HD. Compared to the basic models there is a thicker cover plate, thicker side plates with longer welds, and a base plate without reliefs in the frame of the HD models. In addition the jaws of the HD models are equipped with thicker side plates, and thicker tip plates.
