Thermal weeding with boiling water steam: an environmentally friendly solution Say goodbye to chemicals that are harmful to the environment and opt for our thermal weed control solution! We exclusively use the properties of heated water and steam to effectively weed your crops. Our self-contained steam & boiling water weed control unit, the KOMEX M13-600, is equipped with the WEEDEX M13 hot water steam generator, our premium version of the current WEEDEX generation. With its PLC control, it is easy to use and allows you to control the proper functioning of the assembly. Compact and lightweight (130 x 130 x 135 cm / 350 kg), it is easily transportable on a trailer, in a tipper or a van. Our unique hot water vapor system provides effective weed control while respecting the environment. Our hot water steam generator can heat water up to 140 degrees Celsius to get steam and boiling water, which is conducted through a high thermal resistance pipe. This method triggers a thermal shock that has destroyed the cell parishes of the patients. We have taken two versions of this steam weeding unit: the analogue version WEEDEX-12V (12 Volt, 9 l/min) and the digital version WEEDEX-M13 (12 Volt, 13 l/min), both delivered complete with the necessary accessories: an automatic reel equipped with 15 ml of special hose with high thermal resistance, a lance support gun, a special KHL-D lance for finishing and cleaning, as well as a KHL-Z round lance.
