The time frame for seeding and efficient cultivation is limited to a few weeks - or even to a few days depending on the weather. Increasing ground coverage is a very important factor for successful and high yielding crop farming while retaining highest
seeding precision and quality.
Ground coverage can be increased either by higher working speeds or by larger working widths. An increase in speed is limited since speed beyond 12 km/h may have a negative impact on seeding precision and seeds' embedding. As a consequence some seeds may not break through and the seed placement may not be optimal.
