The model GM hand winches are a base grade of Maxpull hand winches. With the built-in mechanical brake, the handle rotates clockwise to wind up, counterclockwise to wind down, and the brake is automatically applied at the stopped position to stop the load. The Type-SI is fit for schools, public facilities, places accessible to unidentified numbers of people, or other places where the winch may malfunction if its stopper arm, which is able to release the brakes, protrudes from the system itself.
