Integrated parasitic risk on young ruminants before 15 days of age
Properties
SPORIAL helps to reduce parasitic hosting of intestinal protozoa on adults (cows, sheep, goats) in order to reduce the risk of parasites transmission to young ruminants. SPORIAL accompanies vaccinations against calves’ diarrhea performed on adult cattle.
SPORIAL contains a complex combination of trace elements: copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt and selenium. These nutrients are associated with plants such as grapefruit, oregano, thyme and garlic. The synergy of these elements contributes to managing the digestive flora of young cattle. Sporial particularly aims to limit parasitic risks during the first weeks of calves, goats of lambs' lives..
Sporial is available in a formula that complies with the specifications of organic farming.
Trials
SPORIAL was evaluated on beef cattle farms where vaccination against calves' diarrhea was performed (E. coli, rotavirus and coronavirus). On the SPORIAL group the cryptosporidium excretion score is reduce on calves aged from 8 to 15 days comparing to control group. In addition, there is a reduction of almost half of individual interventions that were carried out on calves for digestive causes (rehydration, antibiotics ...). Intervention costs related to these interventions were reduced accordingly.
DIRECTION FOR USE
In cattle, the administration of SPORIAL must be performed on suckling cows upon return to the stables and has to be repeated every month until the end of calving. On dairy cows, it is recommended to practice a 10 day distribution per month on drying cows.
