Reduction of harmful emissions and odours
Emissions of harmful gases such as hydrogen sulphide and other volatile organic compounds in livestock facilities are today both an environmental problem and a present risk for workers in agricultural industries.
The use of floating cover systems drastically reduces the emission of this type of gas on a large scale, as well as offers a remarkable control of odours, creating a barrier between liquid and gas that efficiently prevents the transfer from the liquid to the atmosphere.
Modular permeable cover systems such as Pana Flotante´s Spheres have been subject of studies that favour them as systems more likely to reduce odour emissions from all types of liquid deposition, compared to classic impermeable systems.
All this, added to minimum operating and maintenance costs, makes the Spheres system an economical and highly efficient option in comparison with the old solid-roof systems.
