Mobile drum chipper mounted on a semi-trailer, a trailer or a truck, with its own diesel motor, 1150 Hp and 4340 Nm, highly productive, over 300 m3 chips per hour. The feeding mouth is provided with an upper and two lower rollers, further to a closed-meshes chain. The combined action of such devices pushes and conveys wood up to the drum action. The maximum inlet passage is 1400 x 820 mm. This means that big diameter logs can be processed directly, without splitting, as well as big bunches of branches.The feeding hopper can be supplied upon request with an hydraulically driven extension. The chipper is mounted on a semi-trailer (or on a trailer, or on a truck, as an alternative) through a 180° rotating platform, so that feeding can be done both from the left or the right side. The machine can be configured with two different chips evacuating systems: - A ventilator with rotating discharge pipe, suitable to work in the forest; - A conveyor belt to transport chips up to 5 m high, suitable to work on biomass sort yards. Approx. 30% of the motor power is thus saved and is completely available for the drum, in favor of production capacity. Furthermore, the chipped product is better quality, since chips remain whole and undamaged, not passing through the ventilator. The chipping device is a closed drum that has a diameter of 1200 mm and is 1400 mm large; it is provided with four knives each 700 mm long, which guarantee better quality chips.
