The new PTT 2000/1200 is the ideal solution for grinding and disposing of roots and dirty wood not suitable to be handled with blades due to the presence of dirt or inappropriate size.
Equipped with a slowly rotating drum (approximately 30 g/min) with 22 fixed helical teeth made of hard metal, the new PTT 2000/1200 is activated by the power takeoff of the tractor and set up on a tandem trailer approved for low-speed towing.
Once ground, the material passes through a sieve consisting of 10 toothed rollers 900 mm wide, positioned in the area below the drum; this system enables the machine to separate dirt and sand present in the roots thus dumping non-woody residue to the ground. The “clean” material merges into a collection belt positioned across the back side of the machine. An additional belt, hydraulically folding, can expel material up to 4.5 m in height.
Pezzolato specifically wanted the new PTT 2000/1200 to be set up on a trailer and activated via power takeoff of the tractor as a way to create a machine that is relatively affordable in terms of market standards as well as capable of working directly in the field, avoiding operations of stacking and transporting roots (very voluminous) from the worksite to the service area, therefore reducing cost and management time during the entire manufacturing process.
