Pfanzelt manufactures crane that are especially designed to be mounted on specialised forestry machines and tractors used in forestry applications. The two production series differ in relation to logging grabs and logging cranes.
The technical demands on a modern crane include high lifting forces, maximum reach, large pivoting moments and simple operation of crane functions. A powerful crane with high lifting power is required for forwarding, stacking and loading logs with minimum damage to standing timber. A general distinction should be made here between pure logging grabs with a short column and a combined forwarding and loading crane with a high column. Pfanzelt attaches a great deal of importance to the durability of a crane and therefore only uses quality steel in their manufacture. Further all boom joints are fitted with brass bushes and lubrication points. Consistently internal routing of hydraulic tubes provides additional protection against mechanical damage during crane operations.
