Description

Very high demands are placed on the grass on a golf green. The golf course must be able to withstand frequent walking and may not become too compact as a result. The soil must absorb enough water during downpours to avoid puddles. For an optimal growth of the grass the soil must also absorb and release nutrients. Many soil problems can be avoided by adding Perlite to the sand mix. The most important characteristic of Perlite is that the soil remains light even under high and constant pressure. The root system can develop much better when the soil remains light. In addition to all these advantages Perlite also absorbs, and when necessary, releases water to the roots. Perlite is a permanent soil improver that maintains its structure. Why use Perlite? •Perlite increases the pore volume •The open soil structure provides more air for the roots •Improves drainage. Thanks to Perlite it is now possible to build golf greens even on cruise ships.
