The consistant length and quality of the chopped straw require extremely high quality chopper knives and choppers.
Rasspe uses a special steel alloy and heat treat process to maximize saftey and chopping performance. The whole production process is done according to certification standards.All straw chopper knives are weighed during the production process to adhere to very low weight tolerances.This maintains chopper balance and avoids problems created by un balanced straw choppers.
Demand for even better straw chopper blade performance led to the development of a new generation of blades.
RADURA® STRAW straw chopper knives use two new technologies:
- The RADURA® STRAW knives have instead of a ground cutting edge a cold rolled edge wich is induction hardened. The result is no damage because of grinding. The cold rolled edge also adds 25% to the service life of the knives.
- The premium version of the RADURA® STRAW Tungstenedge knife, a tungsten insert is induction brazed to the cutting edge. The result is 3 to 4 times the wear life compared to a regular knife.
