Sonic-impulse-tomography for non-destructive material testing. The ARBOTOM® is a sonic-impulsetomograph for analyzing the internal condition of trees and wooden structures. The measuring principle is based on pulse transit time measurement using multifunctional sensors. The ARBOTOM® can be used to detect, localize and assess damage caused by decay, cracks and other invisible defects.
ArboRadix™ (root analysis/ root detection):
Additional modul for the ARBOTOM®, with which root analyses/ root detection can be carried out. The size and extent of the mechanically effective root plate can be detected and evaluated using an ArboRadix™ sensor. The measurements make it possible to estimate the local extent of roots and to determine where there are none.
Application:
• Tree care and tree inspections
• Determining the traffic safety and stability of trees
• Examination in timber construction & (natural) monuments
• Determination of wood quality and grade
• Root detection possible with ArboRadix™
Advantages:
• Non-destructive measuring method
• Simple and fast handling
• Any number of sensors, sensor chain can be individually extended
• Variable distance between the sensors (freely selectable)
• Fast sensor connection and simple cable connection
• Sensors and sensor cables can be replaced individually
• High measuring cycle
• Automatic generation of series-graphics
• Wind- and vibration- resistant measurement
• Tomographic visualization of the measurement results
• ARBOTOM® sets available in 4 standard package configurations, also customizable
• ArboRadix™ may be added at a later date
• Fast ArboRadix™ measurement
