DynaTim™ is a measuring system for analyzing the dynamic behavior of trees and timber structures under mechanical loads, consisting of a force sensor, inclination sensors and strain sensors. The DynaTim™ is used in stability analyses, also known as pulling tests. The evaluation software can be used to derive the reaction of the tree under corresponding wind loads and thus evaluate its stability and fracture safety, as well as calculate the relief provided by pruning, for example, directly in the software.
Application:
• Tree care and tree inspections (stability and resistance to breakage)
• Determining the stability of trees
• Determination of wood quality and grade
• Load-bearing capacity tests for trusses and timber constructions
Advantages:
• Quick and easy to use
• Wind-independent (reference load is applied by the user, e.g. via cable winch)
• No root damage due to indicated tensile force limits
• Simultaneous display of measured values and result curves
• Live data evaluation, self-evaluation via software program
• Performance of wind load analyses
• Direct calculation of the effects on the stability factor of possible pruning measures on the tree crown
Features:
• Determination of limit values for elongation and inclination
• Inclination sensor: measured value resolution ±0.001°
• Strain sensor: measured value resolution ±0.001mm
• Force sensor: measured value resolution ±1kg, 0 to 5t/50kN
• Individual extension of the inclination and strain sensors
• Simultaneous calculation of the safety factor
• Dimensions of the outdoor case (62x42.5x26.5cm) for the complete system
