Silo sweep auger

The sweep augers are used for the conveying in horizontal direction after gravity discharge. The material is conveyed by the uncovered screw to the area of outlet (in centre of the silo), where it is taken by subsequent conveying technology. The two movements, rotation and advance, are ensured by the central drive, inside the silo (D type) or below the silot (BM type). When there is no more grain in front of the screw, it moves forward automatically driven by outer wheel - in this way, the discharge is complete in only one rotation. Sweep auger can be equipped with a sweeping brush ensuring a clean floor after the second rotation.
