Description

EGS 596 is a versatile harvesting unit that can handle everything except for the really heavy final felling. The special construction with load-bearing wheel arms and three feeding rollers means lower knife pressure fully adapted for delimbing work. The feeding force can thus be maximized as feeding friction is reduced to a minimum. EGS 596 has a short frame, the ability to control upper and lower knives separately, and high traction, which together provide excellent driving characteristics in difficult deciduous forests. Diameter measurement is done through a sensor in the lower branch knives and length measurement over a free rotating measuring wheel. EGS 596 is optimal for ROTTNE H11 but can also be used on ROTTNE H21.
