ROVIC BioSpread
Conservation Farming practices in horticulture are focused on optimising water usage, increasing soil carbon content and protecting the biological soil microbe population.
In row cover crop has become the norm, and the challenge is to also treat the tree line area (bankie) in a similar fashion.
To achieve this, it is required to introduce organic material to this area, either from mulching the cover crop and projecting it onto the bankie area with the ROVIC SIDE DELIVERY MULCHER, or the SICMA TSD MULCHER.
The challenge is to introduce enough material, and especially in new plantings, it is required to import compost and mulch from an external source.
The ROVIC BioSpread is designed to handle compost, chips, shredded material, straw and most other organic sources and introduce it to the tree line area to the levels required (50 – 250 cub m/ha). This is done in a fast yet gentle manner, in this way minimizing risk of damage to irrigation.
ROVIC Biospread is effective in spreading both on ridges and flat surfaces, being able to fit in most modern vineyards and orchards.
