The COMIA C8 with its two threshing cylinders efficiently threshes any kind of grain. When compared to a single cylinder combine, the threshing efficiency is increased by more than 20%. The engine is a powerful six-cylinder, 210 HP, Tier 5 engine. The grain tank capacity is 5,400 liters to correlate with the harvester’s efficiency. Standard cutting header width is 4.5 metres, but the cutting width can be chosen between 4.2 and 4.8 metres.
Double-cylinder systems have been used in SAMPO combine harvesters since 1996. The patented TS-system significantly increases threshing efficiency in Northern European conditions. The pre-threshing cylinder evens out the material flow and smoothens it before the threshing cylinder, where the threshing mainly takes place. Threshing efficiency is increased as the straw walkers have less work to do.
AVARA - style and functionality
Eight work lights, modern LED headlights, and a wide windscreen. One of the factors considered during the design of the cab, was the driver’s clear visibility of the cutting header. The harvesters of the COMIA series have a multi-function drive handle, and the layout of the other controls has also been carefully designed. All threshing-related activities, such as the controls of the machinery and cutting header, are located in the armrest. The console also has 12V and USB connectors.
