Piel de Sapo (Sharlyn) melons are a rare Spanish variety. They are oval shaped with a thick hard rind. Skin is yellow and green mottled, and flesh is white with some hints of green. These melons grow nicely in heat and in dry areas. They are 8-12" long when fully ripe, and weigh 7-9 lbs. 1 lb - Approximately 10,800 Seeds
Directly sow seeds in the spring in full sun. Hills should be placed at least 12" apart. Melons have a sweet juicy flavor quite similar to pineapple, making them an exciting addition to the home garden.
