A popular heriloom watermelon in the southwestern region of the USA. It produces hardy fruits that are particularly well suited to being shipped. About 585 seeds per ounce.
Prefers warm to hot weather and full sun, like most watermelons. Typcially produces melons around the 22 pound range. Striped green husk with sweet flesh that is red with an orange tint. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Direct sow, and harvest at approximately 88 days.
