Easy to grow and pleasing as it sways in light breezes, Agrostemma is perfect for annual meadows, cottage and cutting gardens, where it attracts bee pollinators. While it grows in most soil types, well-drained is preferred. If soil is rich, support at the base may be needed, such as short twiggy sticks. Best in early summer, before hot temperatures dominate, or in areas where summer nights cool down. Deadhead, leaving some to self sow.
