Chipper operating principle This machine is dedicated to transforming the by-products of sawmill or plywood plants into chips for paper, panel or energy production. Many other applications allow us to value this matter in the best way like roasting or mulching. SGM Services is focused on the manufacture of drum chippers with knives and their peripherals conveyors, and equipment such as screens and storage. Technical characteristics We manufacture two types of chippers, Drum diameters vary between 500 to 1000mm for a production of 2 to 30 tons / hour. The feed speeds and the rotation speeds, like the number of knives and the holes grid dimension are selected according to the production and the wished size.
