Weaner pens are designed with focus on animal welfare, housing environment and optimization of production. The fiber material is suitable for daily use. User friendly environment The pens are made of fibre panels with a smooth surface which is reducing the accumulation of bacteria and due to that, allowing an easy and effective cleaning. A cleaner environment means less decease, thus providing an improved healthier production. Top cover The top cover can be opened either manually or by power steering. This allows a good overview of the housing unit and makes it easy to identify any deceases at an early stage. The top cover is made of durable plastic to offer easy cleaning and improved hygiene. Environment with optimal ventilation The weaner unit is closed at height of 65 cm with a horizontal pipe at the top, making the pen easier to ventilate and thus minimizes the risk of tail biting. Adjustment to floor slope The fibre panels are adjusted accurately to the floor slope and finished with Jyden Fugefix. This means that the fibre panels are correctly and tightly fastened to the floor. It is not necessary to break the existing concrete floor, thus reducing the cost of investment.
