Amanda is a medium early, processing variety for the production of excellent dehydrated potatoes and French fries. It also can be merchandised as ware potato with cooking type C . Amanda is outstanding in resistances against PCN Ro1, Ro4, Pa2, Pa3 and wart diseases race 1 and 6. It produces oval tubers with yellow skin and creamy flesh color. Dry matter achieves 23%. Very good tolerances against rhizoctonia, black leg, common scab and tuber blight.
