Thanks to its photoselective additive package, it stops part of the visible light from coming through (which enables photosynthesis), thus preventing weed growth.
On the other hand, these photoselective additives allow thermal radiation through, which warms the ground and increases the temperature, enhancing root development.
It is recommended to not use this type of mulch film in hot-weather seasons because the temperature that this mulched ground may reach could be excessive for the plant’s root system (it would be better to use a W/B or S/B film).
