Altereco products are manufactured using bio-sourced materials. With a minimal carbon footprint, the production of this range lends itself to a sustainable development approach. Material The PLA (polylactic acid) we use to produce the Altereco® products is made from plant material, preferably from recycled sources (rPLA). A mineral filler is added to the PLA base for opacity. Altereco® products do not integrate any component containing carbon from petrol origin. All components from this material are TÜV Austria-certified. Our compound is currently in the certification process. Production The Altereco® range and its production process have been elaborated and finalized in our factory. Use The Altereco pots are usable with potting machines and are compatible with the same irrigation and production systems as standard PP pots. As the pots are industry-compostable, do not plant the pot with the plant. How to store Altereco® Bio-sourced materials are sensitive to changes in temperature and level of hygrometry. In order to avoid deformations and de-stacking problems, we recommend to use the products shortly upon receiving them and to store them inside in a dry place. We will not be able to take back goods that have been damaged by improper or extended storage.
