The vertical Band sawmill by M.E.M. are designed for cutting logs up to 1075, 1300, 1475 a 1500 mm in diameter. Headrig body is of a torsion free design, rib reinforced, and fully machined for precise assembly of all the mechanical parts. Saw blade guides Top and bottom cartridge type pressure saw guide for easy resurfacing. A saw guide-grinding machine can be supplied with the headrig. The top saw guide can raise and fall with a hydraulic cylinder to accommodate for the depth of cut of the timber. Blade lubrication and cleaning These very important functions are carried out by special felt pads dipping into diesel tank. Brass scrapers clean permanently the flywheels and protect them from sawdust projection. Blade protection In addition to the sheet-metal cap protecting the non working part of the blade, a guard with a synchronized descent with the higher guide protects the working part of the blade.
