In addition to its practical benefits, turning the soil with a plough has a rich history and tradition. One example is the remarkable single hillside plough, which has been in use since 1973 and continues to perform its task perfectly today. The single hillside plough is a marvel of engineering, consisting of two moulded plates that work together to turn the soil and bury weeds and previous crops. Watching the alternating action of the two design plates, one working while the other is lifted off the ground is fascinating. In addition, the plough allows one-way turning of the soil, which facilitates soil and crop management. When it is time to change direction, the plough can be easily rotated 180°.
