Often used directly after the de-cluster cutter, this machine takes the tops of the beans off. This is done on the following way, because the drum is rotating, the beans are placed in upright position and are stuck in a slot, so that the tip of the bean is sticking out of the slot. The tip of the bean meets a knife which cuts the tip off and after the tip has been cut the bean goes to the bottom of the drum, causing the process to start again, to cut off the other tip of the bean.
The machine is set in an angle so the beans are transported through the drum.
