Tong manufactures a range of vegetable destoners that ensure stones are removed from crop prior to the washing process, in order to prevent any damage to crop or equipment that stones can subsequently cause throughout the vegetable processing line. From Tong’s latest cyclone destoner to economical barrel flume destoners and fully integrated vegetable barrel washers, Tong has a destoning solution to suit a wide range of vegetables and waste materials.
Manufactured in a choice of mild or stainless steel depending on your crop, application and specific requirements, Tong crop destoners, often referred to as floatation tanks, are built upon a water-destoning design. The principals of the water-destoning design means that the stones sink within to the bottom of destoner’s tank, where they can be removed. Whilst upward water pressure allows crop to float over and into the washing and vegetable processing line.
EFFECTIVE CLOD & DEBRIS REMOVAL
Tong’s high-quality destoning equipment removes stones, clod and other high-density materials which are often present within the crop. They are removed at the beginning of the vegetable processing line, ensuring a high-quality end product, whilst increasing the longevity of equipment and minimising downtime and maintenance.
Available as a stand-alone destoner, or integrated within new or existing crop processing facilities, a Tong destoner is a sound investment when it comes to increasing the efficiency and productivity of your vegetable washing processes.
